Vacation Bible School

2024 Camp Firelight VBS has come to an end. During VBS week, 23 children and 29 caring adults and youth helpers had a wonderful time together. 23 children and 29 caring adults and youth helpers had a wonderful time together. The VBS Campers learned the lesson that “Whenever we are afraid, we can put our trust in God.” Many thanks to all for your prayers for a successful VBS week. It was a spiritual, fun, faith-filled, and meaningful week. We had a terrific week, and it was hard saying goodbye to the Campers and the incredible volunteers who made this week so special. Our Firelight Focus was to trust God to spark joy. In the story sessions, we learned that the Spirit of God filled the early followers of Jesus with so much joy and courage. In the science activities, we made a mixture that was both a solid and a liquid. We had a lot of fun in recreation. During the closing session, we sang Camp Firelight songs for one last time. One lucky Camper won the Lu/Lumen the Lightning Bug Puppet.

We extend sincere thanks to the following individuals for making this week special: Barb Sorenson, MaryAnn Sorenson, Nathan Sorenson, Regina Grantz, Ilsa Roberts, Adrienne Coover, Jenny Rutter, Riley Kamps, Brian Shutta, Sophia Ting, Logan Ting, Val Holzman, Darlene Schuler, Bonnie Chesky, Carole Schumm, Pat Nelson, Liz Coover, Mimi, Mike Coover, Kiersten Schelman, Salud, Michelle Fuller, Karen Jesse, Connor Coover, Skyla Coover, Ben Page, Abby Page, Pastor Grace, and Deb Semrad.
Many thanks to MaryAnn, Nathan, Eric, and Natalie Sorenson for organizing and preparing the food for the VBS Thursday Night Picnic.

See you all next year at VBS 2025.
